Bohomoon Wish List

So a couple of weeks ago I came across Bohomoon's Website and I fell in love. They are a jewellery brand that specialise in making bohemian jewellery. Now I know this won't be everyone's cup of tea but I love their jewellery range. I recently bought two pieces as I couldn't resist and now I thought I would share my wish list with you. Also in the picture above I am wearing black lipstick which was from Mac a while ago and I have to say I love it! Again most people probably won't but each to their own :).
Necklaces
One of the really great things about this brand's necklaces are in most designs you can decide whether you would like it as a choker or as a necklace which I think is a great idea. These are the ones I would like next.

I think these are all beautiful and I would probably get the middle two as chokers and the first and last ones as necklaces on a chain. There are so many beautiful necklaces on there I could have them all really. Also another great thing about this brand is that they are really affordable and they are constantly having items on sale!

Rings
You will tell from how many of these are on my wish list that rings are my favourite thing to wear. I love stacking rings and at the minute I especially love midi rings! I have a few at the moment but I don't think you could ever have too many rings haha!

Bracelets
I'm not a big bracelet person and I don't wear many but there was a few that I found on Bohomoon that I love! I have to say I prefer fine bracelets rather than really big cuffs.

So all of these pieces make up my Bohomoon wish list! I would definitely recommend checking their website out (it's linked above) as they do some beautiful pieces and they also do earrings, anklets and phone covers as well!
Also I have to say when I got mine they were beautifully packaged that I almost didn't want to open them haha! One last thing, I only paid £1 for delivery and it did take about a week to arrive but for £1 you can't complain!
Let me know if you have bought anything from here before and what it was and what would be on your Bohomoon wish list!
Much love,

Face Mask Friday- Superdrug's Calming Facial Sheet Mask Cleansing Formula

So it's the last Face Mask Friday and before I start I just want to say I've had so much fun reviewing and trying out all of these products and hopefully will do a similar sort of thing with another type of product in the future.
So I wondered into Superdrug today and saw that they had these new sheet masks. For a while now I have wanted to try one of these types of mask as I had never before and I was just really intrigued. They had three different types of these, I picked the cleansing formula.

As you all know now I have really sensitive skin that breaks out easily so I decided to go with this one as it was for all skin types so hopefully less likely to break me out. My skin hasn't actually been too bad this week I have slight redness here and there but nothing out of the ordinary for my skin.

This mask is meant to make you look more radiant and leave your skin soft and smooth.
So when you open it the first thing I noticed was how wet the mask was, I know this probably sounds stupid but it was soaking and I didn't expect that. You just open up the mask and pop it on your face. So this is probably going to sound stupid as well but this mask comes in one size but for me this mask was rather on the large size. Don't get me wrong I could use it and I managed to fit it on but these was a lot of excess mask so I'm guessing these are really large or I have a rather small face! If anyone else has tried these yet did you find then quite big or is it just me?!
Anyways it advises that you leave this on for 5-10 minutes and you know I like to leave it on as long as I can so I left it on for 10 minutes. It also advises that when you take the mask off that you gently massage in any of the product that is left on your face. There was a little bit of product left on so I rubbed it in gently then went and splashed my face with cold water and patted it dry.

I have to say I am so impressed with this mask. Once I had dried my face my face felt soo smooth and I did actually look more radiant without me looking like a discoball. I really enjoyed using this and I definitely would recommend it and I actually now want to try the other sheet masks in this range. I think this is such a bargain as I only paid £1.29 (I think) for it! It does say on the back to use this regularly so it must be to keep the effects. I would definitely use this again as I don't think I've ever felt my skin as soft!
I hope you have enjoyed this little series as much as I have enjoyed writing it for you. If you have any ideas on products you would like reviewed or if you have tried any of the face masks I have mentioned let me know what you think below. I really enjoy when you leave me comments and I do try and reply to everyone :)!

Halloween Look 1- Broken Ventriloquist Doll

So this was my Halloween look last year. It took me ages to decide what I wanted to do and I looked all over YouTube and Google images for ideas. I had seen people do a similar look to this on YouTube and I really liked it. I know some people won't like this look as it is scary but after all it is Halloween your meant to be scary! So below I've done a step by step guide of how I created this look so if you want to find out, keep reading :).
1) So at the time that I did this I was using Mac Studio Fix Fluid in NC15 as my base. I really liked this foundation as it is full coverage and I think because I was going for a porcelain doll effect I needed this.

2) I then powdered my face using Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NC15 as this added even more coverage and kept me nice and matte.

3) I then moved on to the eyes as I didn't use blush as that's where I had planned to do the cracked effect. To do this I used the palette. I bought this from Xtras in Newcastle. This was such a cheap palette but the colour payoff is great. You can't really see my eyeshadow on this photo but I did a bright pink smokey eye which I really loved doing! This is one reason why I love Halloween as you get to try looks you would never try at any other time.

4) I then lined my eyelid with Mac's Liquid Liner in boot black. I then created a thick white line with Maybelline's Expression Kajal Liner under my eyes to make them look much bigger and rounder. Under the white like I lined it with black to give the impression that the white line was part of my normal eye.

5) I then stuck false lashes on my top lashes. I used really big false lashes to help create a doll effect and then on the lower black line I put smaller but still big lashes on which I think really finishes off the eye look! I always use Eyelure lashes so these are the ones I used for too and bottoms lashes.

6) I then moved onto finishing the face off. To create the cracks I used Mac's Liquid Liner to outline them and create fine lines and then to fill it in I used Bourjois' Black Khol Liner. I only did 2 cracks as I didn't want to over do it haha.

7) Because I had done bright pink smokey eyes I wanted to do a bright pink lip so I used Candy Yum Yum by Mac to create this lip. I actually liked this lip more with this make up than when I wear my normal make up haha.

8) To finish off the look and make me look like a ventriloquist doll I used my Mac Liner to create the two lines down the side of the mouth and under my chin. I made them quite thick so that they were noticeable.

9) I then put my hair in bunches and back combed both sides so they looked really messy and tatty. If you do this be warned it takes so long the next day to get the tats out which is also quite painful :).  I used bobbles with bows on which I actually got from Matalan for like a pound each. I didn't actually buy these for this look I just loved these bobbles so they came in handy. I don't think Matalan will still have these but you could probably find dupes on EBay I would imagine.

10) I wore this chiffon dress from TFNC which I think definitely set the look off. This had lace cap sleeves and is really floaty and lovely. I'm really sad that I don't have this anymore as it shrunk in the wash, this was one of my favourite dresses!

I hope you enjoyed reading how I created this look! If you know what your dressing up for Halloween I would love to know! Also if you would like me to recreate any Halloween looks let me know and I'll try my best to do so. I think I will do another couple of Halloween posts because I love doing these!
Much love,

Face Mask Saturday?! Soap & Glory's Scrub Your Nose In It

Hi everyone! I realise this blog should have went up yesterday and I'm really sorry it didn't I've been feeling really exhausted and run down lately and it all came to a head yesterday. When I woke up my throat was really sore, I had a runny nose (sorry if that is too much information haha) and I felt like crap. So by the time I got home from work I was exhausted I just wanted to go to bed and go to sleep so that's what I did. I am feeling a bit better today, the sore throat is still here but I don't feel as tired so that's a bonus. I feel like I had to explain myself as when I say I'm going to do something I have to follow through and if I don't I feel incredibly guilty! Does anyone else feel like that or just me haha?

So anyways I have had this product for so long but I had to talk about it. So it has been repackaged so it doesn't look like mine but I've read the product description and it sounds round about the same so I'm guessing it does the same job. So technically this isn't a face mask, this is a face scrub but you can leave it on for longer for it to work like a face mask and this is always how I use it. I've never used it as a scrub before!
So this week my skin hasn't been too bad, I feel like my skin is on rotation one week it's okay and the next its terrible haha! But no major problems this week thank the lord!

I don't remember how long exactly I've had this product but it doesn't smell weird or look weird and still works so it is definitely not out if date. It's a greenish blue colour and because it is primarily a scrub this feels very grainy when you rub it on your skin. However, this means when you wash it off your face it exfoliates it too which means your getting the best of both worlds. This is meant to be oil absorbing and brightening when used as a mask and you only have to leave it on for 3 minutes! This has the same tightening effect that a traditional clay mask has and it smells very minty and it feels almost like a burning sensation when you put it on, not like painful I dunno how to describe it haha.

I have to say I absolutely love this mask I've been using it every other week for like a year and a half and it's always the mask that I return too. It makes my pores look so clean and totally unclogs them. It also makes my skin feel so soft and because I am oily it totally reduces any oil on my face. It also totally reduces any spots that might be brewing and reduces any that I already have.  I cannot praise this mask enough I think if you were going to try any of the masks I have suggested this would be a great one to start with. This is what the new packaging looks like.

If any of you have tried it please let me know what you thought of it in the comments below, did you love it too? Next week is my last face mask blog so of there is any you really want me to try let me know!
Also, one of my most favourite times of year is coming up... Halloween!!!! I am so excited words cannot describe my excitement. I wondered into Lush yesterday and they had their Halloween range out and I just wanted to buy it all. So last year I finally done a proper, scary Halloween make up and dress up look which I loved. I love dressing up in fancy dress, I wish Halloween was all month long as I have so many ideas and only one day. So tomorrow I'm going to post last years Halloween look and do a step by step guide on how I created that look so I hope you enjoy reading that tomorrow and it definitely WILL be up unless something major happens!
Much love,

September Favourites

I cannot believe how quick this year is going and that it is now October! So this is my first favourites blog which I'm really excited about so I best get started.....

1) EOS Lemon Lip Balm

I had seen these all over Youtube and really wanted to get one as I think they are soo convenient as you don't have to dip your fingers in and get them all sticky and gross! I picked mine up months ago when I first went to London and I got it in the Topshop at Oxford Circus. I love lemon scented things so I had to have this. I wear it every night before bed and it really helps me with my dry lips and now they are lovely and smooth :)!

2) Topshop Shuffle The Cards Eyeshadow

I absolutely love this eyeshadow! I haven't ever seen or tried anything like it. They came out with three different shades in this iridescent/holographic type eyeshadow and they are all beautiful. You can't really tell from this picture but in certain lights this eyeshadow looks gold and in others it looks pink. This one is definitely my favourite. I like to apply it over Maybelline's Eternal Gold Colour Tattoo and Maybelline's Pink Gold Colour Tattoo. I also find that this doesn't have too much fallout with it being quite glittery which is another bonus.

3) A La Carte Brow Ink in Blonde and ModelCo More Brows in Medium/Dark

This is my new favourite brow combo. I've been doing this through this month and I love how it's been looking. I like quite defined brows but that don't look like you've gotten a sharpie and drew them on. I think these help me get that defined look without looking ridiculously false. Also once these are on my brows are not moving, they are staying put and as I'm often running about and doing various different things I need my brows to stay on which happens when I use these!

4) No. 149 Exaggerate Eyelure Lashes

I really like the effect false lashes can give your make up and I really like wearing them. Now these are very full and dramatic which I know will not be everyone's cup of tea and I wouldn't wear these day to day but for nights out these are my go to lashes. I love how full and thick these are and I like the dramatic effect they give once they are on. I really like this brand and they all come with little tubes of glue which is so handy!

5) BareMinerals Lipstick in Break Away and Mac Myth

Throughout September this has been my everyday lip colour. I love the colour you get when you mix these to together. I think it is similar to that Kylie Jenner lip colour everyone is raving about but it's not matte. It comes out a lovely darker nude more brown based but not too brown... Ahhh I just love it! Such a nice lip colour that goes with a lot of different make up looks, so versatile.

6) Leighton Denny Nail Varnish in Forbidden Territory

So over the last year and a bit I have had gel and acrylic nails on non stop. Literally I would take them off and within a day or two I would have a new set put back on. Now don't get me wrong I do still love false nails and I will more than likely get a new set put back on before the end of this month but I've been really enjoying having shorter nails. I took my false nails off at the end of August and expected to have a new set on soon after but I couldn't get an appointment. Anyways I thought I would try and embrace short nails and they were in a pretty bad state so it's good to try and get them in a better condition. I have been wearing this nail colour for a while now and I had had it for ages but never tried it. It's so pretty though. Such a nice colour for Autumn and I personally think it compliments shorter nails. I want to just keep wearing this. The formula is really nice too and it glides on so smoothly and is really pigmented. Can't see this coming off any time soon haha.

7) Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume Eau So Fresh

First of all lets all admire this packaging. It's absolutely beautiful and I love having this on my drawers it's so pretty! I got this as a present for my birthday in May and I hadn't ever smelt any of the Marc Jacobs perfumes so I was excited to. I had liked it when I tried it but I wanted to keep it for special occasions. However at the start of this month I sprayed it on me again and since then I have worn it every day. It's like a nice florally smell, very light but not overpowering. I really love it and would recommend that if you can still get this edition it would be worth getting!

8) Batiste Dry Shampoo Dark and Deep Brown

With having really dark hair I find normal dry shampoos can still leave a white ish tinge even when rubbed in but since finding this I won't use any other dry shampoo. This has a dark colour to it so once on your hair you cannot tell you have used dry shampoo. It's very lightweight and gets rid of any oiliness. It also comes in a blonde version for those with blonde hair. I would definitely recommend this if you have dark hair and it's such a reasonable price!

9) Lee Stafford Argan Oil Hairspray

I bought this at the beginning of September and I've used this every day since. I love this, it has such a nice feel to it and is so lightweight yet still really strong. I did a review on this because I really do like this :). It is a bit more pricey but it does really work. I definitely think I would repurchase this and one really good thing is I've used it all month and I still have some left- bonus!

Hope you've enjoyed reading my first favourites blog! I would love to know what your favourites were in the comments below :)!
Much love,
